Working with the community

We deliver more than green energy – we deliver lasting positive community impacts

Ørsted has built more wind farms at sea than any other company in the world over the last 30 years. In the UK alone, our 12 offshore wind farms generate enough green energy to power over 6 million UK homes.

However, experience has taught us that we only really succeed if we create a socially sustainable business that brings extensive economic, social, and environmental benefits to the local communities where we construct and operate our offshore wind farms.

We do that by working collaboratively with local communities to ensure that first and foremost, we deliver our projects in a respectful, efficient, and timely manner.

We also invest in the future of the local communities where we work through our community benefit funds, partnerships, support for expanding Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education among primary, secondary and university students, our apprenticeship programs, and jobs training.
