Meet the
Hornsea 3 team

At Ørsted, we’re all working toward a common goal: creating a world that runs entirely on green energy. Meet the people behind our most ambitious – and most challenging – project we’ve developed since we built the world’s first offshore wind farm over 30 years ago.

Wind Turbine in sea
The Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm is currently one of the largest civil engineering projects in the world. Upon completion, it will generate enough green energy to power more than 3 million UK homes – contributing significantly to the UK’s net-zero goals and energy independence.

Our aim is to be good neighbours while we work to deliver this nationally significant infrastructure project.

Meet the leadership team behind the project, as well as our community team on the ground in Norfolk who are there to answer any questions you may have.

Luke Bridgman
Managing Director of Hornsea 3

Luke is responsible for the safe delivery of Hornsea 3. With thousands of people working on the project across the supply chain – sometimes in dangerous and challenging conditions offshore from the UK and Europe to Asia –Luke’s number one priority is making sure the work gets done safely.

“What really matters to us most at Ørsted is that we work in collaboration with local communities and leave a lasting positive legacy.”

Luke has plenty of experience for the job, having worked for Ørsted for 10 years and in the renewable energy industry for 15 years in both his native Australia and Europe. He was the Deputy Director for Engineering, Procurement and Construction on Hornsea 2, which at 1.4 GW is currently the largest offshore wind farm in the world.

About Luke:

  • Father of two young daughters
  • Cycles to work
  • As a runner, running a global project, always travels with his running shoes.

Jason Ledden
Hornsea 3 Senior Project Director

Jason is responsible for the onshore and offshore construction of Hornsea 3, supporting the project managers working with our contract partners to deliver the different elements. That includes the onshore cable route that will connect the power generated offshore by Hornsea 3 to the UK’s National Grid and onto millions of UK homes.

“Our pledge is to return everything as we found it. When we excavate trenches to bury cables, we put them back neatly with the original material and topsoil. We replant vegetation and restore everything to the way we found it, working in cooperation with the landowner.”

Jason has worked with Ørsted for 20 years. Hornsea 3 is the seventh offshore wind project he’s helped deliver.

About Jason:

When I discovered that I could dedicate my career to exploring and safeguarding this world through renewable energy, nothing would stop me.”
